Mrs. Elizabeth De Jong, 79, of Orange City, passed away Tuesday, July 9 at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.
Elizabeth was born Sept. 5, 1905, at Orange City, the daughter of John Mouw and Betsy Mouw.
On Sept. 10, 1930, she married Orville De Jong. They made their home in Orange City.
Mrs. De Jong was a member of the Calvary Christian Reformed Church and its Harmony Workers. She was also a member of the Better Homes and Garden Departments of the Orange City Federated Women's Club.
Survivors include here husband, two sons, Mallard and Jay, both of Orange City, four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and two step-sisters, Mrs. Joe (Gertrude) Wiersma and Geraldine Reinders, both of Orange City.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 12, at the Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Orange City, witih the Rev. John T. Ebbers officiating. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City, under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City.
