In the fall of 1848, he removed with his family to Walworth County, Wisconsin settling in the town of Le Roy where he lived about twenty years on the same farm; in the spring of 1869, he sold his farm in Le Roy and took up his residence in the city of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, living there about a year; in September 1870 he purchased the northeast quarter of Section 20, in the town of Chester, Dodge County, and occupied it from October of the same year until the time of his death after nearly two years' illness.
Mr. CHESEBRO leaves nine children: Ann (now Mrs. John S. SHIMMINS of Richmond, Walworth County, Wisconsin, born 08 October 1841), Clinton H. (born 01 December 1844, lives in York County, Nebraska), Mariette (now Mrs. G. E. HIBBARD of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, born 05 October 1846), Marilla Estella (now Mrs. Emmet D. PARSONS of York County, Nebraska, born 11 June 1848), Emma Jane (now Mrs. Edwin KELLOGG of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, born 30 September 1851), Frances Isabella (now Mrs. James WEAGE of Plainview, Wabasha County, Minnesota, born 16 September 1853), Edwin G. (born 06 November 1855, lives in Chicago, Illinois), Arthur C. (born 28 February 1858, lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin), and Gracie A. (born 05 March 1861). Mrs. CHESEBRO still lives on Section 20, town of Chester; P. O. Waupun.
