SCHOHARIE DEMOCRATS CAPTURE ONE OFFICE
Schoharie ran true to form in the recent elections returning the usual Republican
majority. On the board of supervisors nine Republicans and seven Democrats were returned. The only upset was the offico of the county superintendent of poor which was capuired by Hial Rose, Democrat. Mrs. Blanche Borst, Republican, was elected county clerk for the third consecutive term, defeating Don Shafer, Democrat, by a
2,800 majority. John D. Holmes, Republican, captured county treasurer. The
amendments •were beaten, 2 to 1.

MRS. BLANCHE BORST
Funeral services will be held at the home on Grand street at 2 o?clock Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Blanche A. Hunter Borst who died Thursday. Mrs. Borst was horn June 29, 1885 at Esperance. She attended the public schools of Esperance and was a graduate of the Albany Business College.
She left Central Bridge in 1913 to become a deputy county clerk at Schoharie. In 1919 she was selected clerk of the County of Schoharie, which office she held continuously until 1931
It was March 9, 1920 that she was married to Everett Borst of Schoharie, who survives her. Other survivors are a sister Mrs. Mildred D. Montanye of Esperance, a brother John Hunter of Delanson; a half-brother Fred G. Price of Delanson, two half-sisters, Margaret Hunter and Mrs. E. W. Rogers of Waterbury, Conn.; a nephew Hunter Dale of Esperance and a niece, Margaret Rogers of Washington
Services will be conducted by Rev. C. R. Kyle, pastor of the Community Church. Interment will be at the cemetery in Esperance.
