RITES HELD FOR MONTANYE, 67
CENTRAL BRIDGE— Funeral services were held Tuesday for Sheldon Montanye, 67, who died Saturday at St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam. He was in the hospital for two weeks.
Mr. Montanye was born in the Town of Esperance on Aug. 26, 1888, the son of William and Electa Clark Montanye. On Dec. 20, 1908. he married Edna Vunk
in Sloansvllle. He was a farmer in the Town of Charleston for about 25 years. In 1939, he retlred and moved to Charleston Four Corners. He was a member of the
Charlston Four Corners fire department.
Mr. Montanye is survived by his widow, Edna Vunk of Charleston Four Corners: one son, Karl Montanye of Sprakers; one daughter, Mrs. Paul Bowdish of Oak Ridge; two brothers, Erwin Montanye of Arlington, Wash, and Harley Montanye of Barberton, Ohio;, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held in the Clark Funeral Home in Central Bridge. Rev.Robert Williams of Clifton Springs, formerly the pastor of the Charleston Four Comers Church officiated. Burial was in the Esperance Cemetery.
