Naomi "Nana" Conklin
Naomi "Nana" Conklin, 77, of Effort, passed away Wednesday, April 25, at Pocono Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Foster Conklin.
Born on April 19, 1930, in Bloomingdale, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Myrtle Davenport Muldoon.
Naomi enjoyed playing bingo, shooting pool, reading, stitching and spending time with her family and anyone with a sense of humor. She was a resident of Monroe County for two years. Prior to that, she was a resident of Portland.
Surviving are her children, Brenda Rost and her husband, Carl, of Effort, Bonny Dean of Clanton, Ala., Glenn Conklin and his wife, Wanda, of Newton, N.J., Roger Conklin and his wife, Iris, of Milford; grandchildren Christine Shults of Bushkill, Ruth Dean, Roseann Dean, Bonny Dean Jr. and Amity Dean Jr., all of Clanton, Ala., Glenn R. Conklin of Newton, N.J., Scott Conklin, Danielle Conklin and Samantha Conklin, all of Milford, Linda Conklin of Newton, N.J.; and great-grandchildren: James Reese Shults, Devin Dean, Josh Benning Shults, Jazmin Dean, Savannah Dean, John D. Shults.
She was preceded in death by siblings Edwin "Dwayne" Muldoon, Ronald Muldoon, Earl Gallagher, Ethel Scank and Howard Gallagher.
Rev. Thomas E. Anderman will officiate a funeral service at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 30, at Lanterman and Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg. Cremation will take place after the service at H. G. Smith Crematory in Stroudsburg.
Family and friends are invited to a calling period from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday, April 30, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
