Mrs Blanch Dickens age 76, passed away Friday Sep. 14, 1965 at a Prarie du Chien Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Clayton; one daughter Mrs Evelyn Schara of Postville; four sons, Edward of Janesville; Lawrence of Sioux City; Harvey of Marquette; Robert of Beloit; 20 grandchildren; 3 great- grandchildren; one brother Harvey Ohnesorge of Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Dickens was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs Dorothy Schultz.
Services were held Monday at 2:00 PM at the Thornburg Funeral Home, Rev Bodamer officiating. Internment was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mrs Donald Strutt sang "The Old Rugged Cross", Mrs Nettie Coon was organist. Pallbearers were; Elmer Hansen, Richard Hinkel, Lawrence Nichols, Bill Clark, Howard Henning and Merle Sawvelle.
Mrs. Dickens was a member of the Eastern Star, the Milwaukee Railroad Woman's Club, and American Legion Auxiliary. She was a resident of Marquette for 57 yeaes.
