She was born Nov. 17, 1919, daughter of the late Earl and Alice Bowen Fralick. A lifelong area resident, she was raised and educated in Ilion. On Sept. 13, 1947, she married Bernard L. More recently, Mrs. Miller has resided at Folts Homes in Herkimer.
All who knew her will remember a warm and caring person who was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren. Frieda loved her home and spent hours cooking and baking for all to enjoy. Her leisure time was spent crocheting, reading and enjoying the natural beauty of her home and its surroundings in Cold Brook. She and her husband Bernie also enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida in the cold weather. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are a daughter Judy and her husband Charles Sommers of Herkimer; seven grandchildren, Robert and his wife Carolyn, Sharie and her husband Michael, Bernie and his wife Kelly, Mark and his wife Tina, Danyel and her husband John, John and his wife Tracy, Becky and her husband Scott, along with 20 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, three great-great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents and husband Bernie, she was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Miller; three sisters, Margaret Davies, Frances Pomitcher, Dorothy Fralick; and a great-great granddaughter, Caroline "Carly" Shae Wainwright.
Funeral service will be on Sunday at 4 p.m. in Fenner Funeral Home Inc., 115 Court St., Herkimer. The Rev. David Oertel, chaplain of Folts Homes, will officiate. Mrs. Miller will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery, Graysville, next spring. The family will be present in the funeral home to receive relatives and friends on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4.
The family wishes to thank the staff and doctors at St. Elizabeth Medical Center and the staff on the first and fifth floors of Folts Homes for the care, compassion and understanding during Frieda's stay.
