An article entitled "Retrospection" summarized N.C. Martin's career. The writer, E.S. Kelly, notes that John Montanye and Abel Marcy built the first hotel on the southeast corner of Bridge and Tioga Streets in Tunkhannock, where the Keeler House later stood.
