Evelyn I. Galloway of Cooks Trailer Park, Tunkhannock, died Saturday at Carpenter Care Center, Tunkhannock. She was born in Dallas Township on June 3, 1918, daughter of the late Floyd and Ruth M. Terry Corby and stepdaughter of Irene Corby of Factoryville. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a floor manager by the URS building in Tunkhannock. She was a member of Centermoreland United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by brothers, Oscar and Floyd; half-brother, B. Archie Corby. Surviving are sons, Elwood F. Patton, Tunkhannock; David B. Patton, Independence, Ky.; Edward L. Patton, Friendsville; Charles D. Galloway, Tunkhannock; daughter, Evelyn V. Shelton, Factoryville; sisters, Ruth Greenley and Fern Kromelbein, both of Tunkhannock; brother, Malcolm Corby, Meshoppen; half-brothers, William, Walter and Charles Corby, all of Tunkhannock; half-sisters, Harriett Burkholder, Leola; Alice Singer, Rome; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 from Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with the Rev. Mary Jean Simonin, pastor of Centermoreland United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Dallas. Friends may call Monday, 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.
