Barbara L. Coulson Kaiser 1942-2012
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Barbara L. Coulson Kaiser, 69, Kansas City, formerly of Eagleville, Mo., passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the North Kansas City Hospital.
She was born May 27, 1942 in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Wayne L. and Dorothy M. (Hamilton) Boothe. On April 7, 1960, she married Harold C. Coulson in Nebraska City, Neb. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1985. On June 13, 1998, she married Kenneth Kaiser in Douglas County, Nev. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Barbara spent her working career as a teacher and in school administration. She retired in 1996 from the Cass RIX School District in Harrisonville, Mo. She was a graduate of North Harrison High School. She held a BS in Elementary Education, MS in Reading and Elementary Administration, and was an Education Specialist in Special Education Administration. She was a member of the North Star United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Kappa Delta Phi Sororiety.
Survivors include a two sons: Stephen Wayne (Brenda) Coulson, Bevier, Mo.; Stanley Clayton (Janel) Coulson, Weston, Mo.; two sisters: Nadeen (Larry) Parman, Storm Lake, Iowa; and Debra (Rick) McChesney, Hatfield, Mo.; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Hartschen, Jessica Coulson, Clayton, Nathan, Samuel, and Maelea Coulson; and a great-grandson, Coulson Hartschen.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, February 11, at the Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, Mo. Burial: Masonic Cemetery, Eagleville, Mo. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday.
