New Hartford, Jan. 16.—A prayer service over the remains of Jesse S. Montanye, whose death occurred Wednesday, will be held Saturday at 4 p. m. at the residence of his son, Seely Montanye, 38 Oxford road, and the remains will be taken to Charleston Four Corners, Montgomery county, where the funeral will be held Sunday at 11 a. m.
Mr. Montanye was born in Montgomery county, November 7, 1837. He followed the occupation of farming until three years ago, when he went to Utica to live and soon after moved to this village. He is survived by three sonB, William of
Cobleskill, Frank of Charleston Four Corners, and Seely, with whom he made his home in this village. He was one of eight children of whom three survive, Jacob Montanye of Troy, Mrs. Solomon Veeder of Fonda and Mrs. William Hogan of Schenectady.
