MONTAYNE OF SCOTIA, DIES AT 82
Charles [sic] E. Montayne, 82, formerly of 11 James street, Scotia, died yesterday at Manor Rest Home, Round Lake, after an illness of several months.
Born in Sloansville, Mr. Montayne lived in the Schenectady area most of his life. He moved to the rest home two years ago. He retired 25 years ago after working for the Delaware and Hudson Railroad for 40 years as a conductor. He was a 25-year member of the Elks Club and a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Mrs. [sic] Montayne's wife was the late Mrs. Martha Robinson Montayne. Survivors include a son, Walter C. Montanye, of Scotia; one sister, Miss May A. Montayne of Schenectady; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Bond funeral home, with Rev. Ray Kulman, pastor of First English Lutheran Church, officiating. The funeral home will be open tomorrow after 7 p.m. Burial will be in Park View cemetery.
MONTANYE -- June 30, 1964. Clarence E., husband of the late Martha [sic] Robinson of the 11 James Street, Scotia; father of Walter C. Montanye of Scotia and brother of Miss May A. Montanye of this city. Funeral service Friday morning at 10:30 o'clock from the Bond Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are invited. The funeral home will be open Thursday evening afer 7 o'clock. Interment: Park View Cemetery.
