"I, Charles Lee, being in perfect health and strength of memory do make this my last will and testament.
1st I give and bequeath my soul to my blessed redeemer, Jesus Christ, assuredly trusting in and by his meritous death and Passion to receive Salvation and my Body to be disposed of as my loving wife shall desire, not doubting but at the last both body and soul will be reunited and glorified; next I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas all my land on the Rappahannock River side had by my wife, as also 500 acres left me by Walter Jenkins, to him and his heirs male forever; 1 feather bed and furniture, a child's part of my negroes, chattel and household stuff and in case of his death without heirs to be divided among my other children, the land to my son, Charles and the heirs male of his body.  Next, to Charles 600 acres, feather bed and furniture, share of negroes, chattel and household stuff..." etc.
