Roots Research states that he was an emigrant, and he lived 1st in Cambridge. He later moved to Plymouth, then to Marshfield and finally with his wife Susanna Winslow to East Bridgwater. Also see REF about his possible father, William in "The English Ancestry
And Homes Of The Pilgrim Fathers." Roots Research disputes that William was his father. Both Sparrowhawk and (XXXXX@XXXX.XXX) felt that he was Carye LATHAM's brother so Nicholas must also be his father.

Mitchell mistakenly states that William Latham of the Mayflower was father to both Robert and Carye Latham. Too many other books argue against this for it to be true.
Still other sources insist that William Latham of Mayflower fame Married Mary Chilton and they were the parents of Robert Latham and Carye LAPHAM. These sources can't even agree on the same spelling of the two brothers' surnames much less support this claim with solid facts; and also completely ignore the fact that IF this were the case THEN Robert would have married his half sister and neice. This story IS patently FALSE!
In all of the sources that do claim that Robert and Carye Latham are brothers, it should be noted that Robert is always listed as the older brother.
While we know for a fact that William LATHAM of the Mayflower can't be his father, there is no really conclusive evidence as to who is. The circumstantial evidence is slightly more favorable for Nicholas Latham being his father that it is for several other contenders so for the purpose of this genealogy I have listed Nicholas Latham of Aldenham, England as Robert's father. Perhaps like Elizabeth he was born before Nicholas moved to Aldenham.
