Sir Andrew Corbet (1580 - 1637) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1624 and 1629.
Corbet was the son of Sir Vincent Corbet, of Moreton Corbet, Shropshire and was baptised at Moreton Corbet on 28 August 1580. He matriculated at Queen's College, Oxford on 20 June 1600 and was a student of Lincoln's Inn in 1602. He was knighted on 25 August 1617. In 1624, he was elected Member of Parliament for Shropshire, and was re-elected in 1625. He was elected MP for Shropshire again in 1628 and sat until 1629 when King Charles decided to rule without parliament for eleven years.[1]
Corbet died at the age of about 56 and was buried at Moreton Corbet on 7 May 1637.[1]
Corbet married Elizabeth Boothby, daughter of William Boothby and had two sons of whom Vincent became a baronet.
