In memoriam
Mrs. Theodore Noot Sr., Marion, died Tuesday evening at Trinity Hospital where she had been a patient since Sunday.
Surviving are her husband, four children; William Noot, at home; Theodore Noot, Jr., in the U.S. Army in Germany; Mrs. Bert Johnson, Marion; and Anne, at home; a brother, Herman Lanser, rural Jamestown.
Funeral services were held from the North Marion Reformed Church Saturday afternoon. Rev. G. Wolbrink was in charge of the service. Pallbearers were: Ernest Miedema, William Lengkeek, George VanDyke, Peter VanDyke, Harold Boom, Kpjm VanderPol. Special music was by: Mrs. Walter Piehl, Mrs. Frank P. VanDyke, Mrs. Alvin VanEnk.
Mrs. Noot was born in Holland April 16, 1891, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lanser. She attended school in her native land and on April 9, 1923 Miss Tryntje Lanser and Theodore Noot Sr. were united in holy marriage at Den Helder, Netherlands. Mr. and Mrs. Noot came to the United States on May 6, 1923, settling on their farm in Greenland Township, where the home has been since.
Surviving are: Mr. Noot and 4 children: William and Anne at home; Pfc. Theodore Noot Jr. in the United States Army stationed in Germany. Mrs. Bert Johnson (Elizabeth) of Marion. There are four grandchildren. Surviving also are 3 brothers: Herman Lanser of Jamestown; Teunes Lanser and Jan Lanser of Den Helder, Netherlands.
