Funeral services for Mr. Michael Edward Parrigin, 53, of Livingston, were conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home of Livingston with Pastor Mike Campbell officiating. Burial was in Flatt Creek Cemetery with Speck Funeral Home of Livingston in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Parrigin, employed in law enforcement for 20 years, died Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at Cookeville Regional Hospital. Born February 9, 1947, in Livingston, he was the son of the Gradis Parrigin and the late Reba Allred Parrigin. He was a member of Trinity Assembly in Algood. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served as a cook aboard Air Force One during the presidency of Lyndon B. Johnson. Survivors include his father, Gradis Parrigin, Livingston; his wife, Judy Parrigin, Livingston; a son, Michael Lee Parrigin, Livingston; a daughter, Shannon Harvey, Livingston; a sister, Brenda Saunders, Virginia; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were James White, Roger Phillips, Ryan Allred, Craig Story, Dwain Winningham, and Mike L. Parrigin.
