Letter written by Arthur R. and Velma (Haugh) Hubbell To Our Relatives One is fortunate when he can point with pride and gratitude to his family , past and present And one is able to do so only if he has some knowledge of those who came before him. It has been most interesting and rewarding to search out such knowledge. It is my purpose now, in my retirement years , to compile this information so that it will be preserved for future generations. If I can preserve and pass on to others that which I have gathered, I will be satisfied. This will provide others who might care to do so, a basis for further research. It is my sincere desire that someone in the family might do such research into the past, and that some will be interested in keeping that records up-to date in the future. To all those who have helped in this endeavor Iam deeply grateful. I know it has taken much time and effort, but this is the price of such projects. My sincere hope is that this family record will be both prized and added to as the generations come and go. If this proves to be the case, I feel the many hours , days and even years that have gone into this record have not been time wasted. Most Sincerely
