29 Apr 1309: Between Roger de Bulkylegh, plaintiff, and Reginald Balle and Margery his wife, deforceants, of 1 messuage, 1½ acres of land and the moiety of 1 acre of meadow with appurtenances in FADILEGH.[1]
1310: GRANT by William son of Roger de Bulkilegh to Richard his nephew de Bulkilegh, of a piece of his ground in the township of BULKILEGH, which brun fabre formerly held of him in a place called le hoke, at an annual rent of 1d.[2]
1326: Grant by Hugh de Merburi to Rand[ulf] his son of a salt- work (unam salinam liberam) in Northwich (Norwyco) which he had by the gift of John son of Henry de Comburbache; to hold to the said Rand[ulf] and the heirs male between him and Ellen daughter of Roger de Bulkelegh begotten, with remainder in default to Rand[ulf] and the heirs male of his body, with remainder in default to his own right heirs; rent to him for life, 1 mark. Witnesses:—Sir Henry de Ferrarers, justice of Chester, and Sir John de Ardene, knights, John de Wrenneburi, sheriff, and others (named).[3]
1 Aug, 1335 (John son of Henry de Comberbache): Hiis testibus, etc.—Johanne de Comberbach, Henrico fratre suo, etc.John, son of Henry de Comberbach, gave to Adam, son of William de Litley, in Aston juxta Budworth, all his lands in Comberbach,—unà cùm reversione dotis Elenæ matris prædicti Johannis et piscariâ suâ in lacu de Budworth, etc. Entailing these lands, first on the said Adam, and the heirs of his body ; and in default of such, then on Robert, brother of the said Adam. Dated at Comberbach, 1 August, 1335. (9 Edward III.)[4]
