    Will|Text of will of Andrew Flickinger:||In the name of God Amen. The first Day of March in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty-four. I Andrew Flickinger of Manhaim Township in the County of York in Pensylvania Widower, Being old and weak in Body but yet of Good helth and Sound Dispose and Memory Thanks be Given unto God therefore calling unto mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing that is is appointed for all Men once to dye therefore I do make and Ordain this my Last Will and Testament, that is to say principally and first of all I give and Recommand my Soul in to the Hands of God and for my body I recommand it to the Earth to be Buried in a Christian like and Decent manner at the Discretion of my Executors nothing Doubting but at the General Resurrection I Shall Receive the same again by the might Power of God and as touching such Wordly Estate wherewith it hath Pleased God to bless me in this Life I give Devise and Dispose of the same in the following manner and form Imprimis It is my will and I do order that in the first place all my Jest Debts and funeral charges be paid and Satisfied. Item I give [or that is to say I have given] to my oldest Son Hans Flickinger A two year old Horss Colt and I allso fearder (?) give to him my Froschauer Bible which he shall have besides his Eaquil and Respectif part out of my moveable Estate so as one of the rest of my Children and no more. Item I give and Bequeath unto my two Sons Samuel Flickinger, and Peter Flickinger All my Dwelling Plantation Situate Lying and Being in Manhaim Township aforesaid and part thereof in Hidleberg Township in the County of York aforesaid with all and Singular the Messuages Lands and Tenements Herditaments and Appurtenances therunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to them their Heirs or Assigns forever Under and Subject to the Several Payments therefore to be made and Done as the Same is allredy Specifyed in Several Respective Bond given from under the Hands and Seals of my Two Sons Samuel and Peter to the best of my Children for the Same Bearing Date the Twenty fifth Day of February in the year aforesaidAnd also under and Subject tot he Yearly mentaining of My Own Body during my natural Life as the same in particularly mentioned in an Instrument of Writing made Between my Self and my two Sons Samuel and Peter bearing Date herewith. Item My Will fearder is And I give [or that is to say I have Given] unto my Son JAcob the Sum of One Hundred Pounds of hard Money. Fearder I give [or that is to say I have Given] unto my Daughter Barbara the Wife of Michael Bear the sume of One Hundred Pounds in hard Money Fearder I give [or that is to say I have Given] unto my Son Andrew the sum of One Hundred pounds in hard Money. Now Concerning the payments which are to be made for my Dwelling Plantation by my Two Sons Samuel and Peter my Will is as follows fiz. My Son Samuel and Peter each of them shall Pay for his share out of my Dwelling Plantation the Sum of three Hundred and Fifty Pounds in hard Money and that in the Same manner and form as the Same is alredy particularly Mentioned in the Same Bonds as aforesaid Given from my Two Sons Samuel and Peter to the rest of my Children for the Remaining Sum of the Seven Hundred Pounds for the Plantation because the have paid Som of it allready so as I would Have and as yet shall be mentioned Now my Will fearder is that in Steeth of the One Hundred Pounds which I have allready given to three of my Children as aforesaid that in Steeth of that my oldest Son Hans and also my Daughter Anna the Wife of John Keeny and also my Daughter Elisabeth the Wife of Daniel Utz and also my Daughter Magdalena the Wife of John Trone Each of them Shall have the sum of one Hundred pound in hard Money out of my Plantation from my two Sons Samuel and Peter whereof the have paid Som of it allredy and for the Remainder the have Given Bonds to each of them bearing date as aforesaid. Now Concerning the Remianing Sum of three Hundred Pounds which my two Sons Samuel and Peter sahll fearder Pay for the Lands My Will is as follows fiz. that the Shall pay the sum of Fifty Pounds in like Money aforesaid to me in hand wherefore they have given Bonds to me allready to the same Now Concerning the Remaining Sum of Two hundred and fifty Poiunds which my Two Sons Samuel and Peter Sahll yet pay for the Lands my Will is that it shall be eaquilly Devided among the Seven Childrens as aforesaid that is to say my Sons Hans and Jacob and Andrew and my Daughters Anna and Elisabeth and Magdalena and Barbara or to their Heirs, wherefor each of them has received Bonds allredy for his Share from my two Sons Samuel and Peter which shall them be in full for their Respectif part out of my Dwelling Plantation Now Concerning the Deviding of my Lands My will is that my Lands ahll be Eaquilly Devided in two Shares that is to say the Clear upland alike and the Meadow alike and the Timber land alike and that as much Eaquilly as it can be done and my Will is that my Son Samuel Shall have the old place with Houses and Barns and my Son Peter shall have the hew place whereon he now Livs and my will is that my Son Peter shall have the Eaquil one half of the fruits out of the old orchard and that for the space of three years from the Date hereof, Fearder my will is that my Son Peter shall have a full Right for him his Heirs and Assigns foreber to take the Water on his Meadow allways the halfe of the time that is to say that the one shall have as much Right to the Water on said Lands as the other of my Two Sons Samuel and Peter for them their Heirs and Assigns forever. Now my Will fearder is Concerning a little piece of Land which lyes in my fence and is not in my Patents that is the Can once get a patent for it that the shall have it in eaquil share an the one of them Shall pay as much as the Other for making it free that is to say my Son Samuel and Peter Now My Will fearder is that after my Decease my two Sons Samuel and Peter Each of them Sahll first have the sum of thirty Pounds Money aforesaid Out of my Moveable Estate and then the Remainder of my Moveable Estate shall be Eaquilly Devided among all my nine Children if the Sixty Pounds to my Son Samuel and Peter being first Deducted Now my Will fearder is that if my two Sons Samuel and Peter has onse paid the Several Payments for my Lands wherefor the have given Bonds as aforesaid that thereupon the said Samuel Flickinger and Peter Flickinger their Heirs and Assigns shall Have and Hold the said Messuage Lands and Tenements with the Hereditaments and Appurtanences for the same Estate and that in as full and ample a manner to all Intents and purposes as I the said Andrew Flickinger in my Life time held and Enjoyed the same and that Exonerated and Discharged of and from all the further Claims of all my Other Children and their Heirs forever And i do gearder to this my Last Will and Testament make and nomenate my Son in Law Daniel Utz and my well trusty frind John Kehr, to be the Executors of this my Last will and Testament and I do hereby utterly disalow Revoke and disanul all and every other former Testaments Wills Legacies and Executors by me in any ways before this time named Willed and Bequeated Ratifying and Confirming this and no Other to be my Last Will and Testament.
