Will of Mary Ann Burchett
Whereas my dear and loving husband Edward Birchett, decd, by his will 18 Feb 1712/13, appointed his well-beloved friend, James Thweatt, his sole executor, for the manifold kindness in his lifetime, gave to said James Thweatt 4 slaves, lands, ect., and ordered 1/3 paid to me by his executor. Now as I am sinkable (sic) of the trouble and kindness of said James Thweatt to my husband and myself, who were altogether unable to asset one another by means of old age and other infirmities, and am satisfied that James Thweatt will keep and maintain me for life, I make over to him all my claim to my husbands estate and request the whole estate to given to him, 8 Sept. 1713.
