GARRY SULKERS Surrounded by loving family, Garry passed on September 11, 2010.
Raised in a country setting, Garry thrived in the outdoors. Fishing, hunting, quading, snowmobiling, time spent with family and friends were his greatest joy. He was a patient man who always had time to help others; supported his family in every way he could, nothing was out of the question. He lived life one day at a time and always saw his cup as half full. Family came first so retirement came early. Working at Manitoba Hydro, he not only enjoyed his work but made life long friends there.
Although mechanically inclined, Garry enjoyed working with wood, building furniture and walking sticks. Time spent at Flanders and Ryerson was precious especially when grandchildren were present, teaching them to respect and absorb the nature around them.
Left behind with memories to treasure are his wife, Susanne, children Collin and Paula, Susanna and Jelle; grandchildren Nathan, Eden, Ashlee and Kyla; brother Glen and Heather, nephew Chris, niece Nicole and Dave as well as nieces Adriaanné (Jon) and Ijdella; extended family and beloved friends.
We plan to have a Celebration of Garry's life on Sunday, September 19 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church at 5819 Henderson Highway. In lieu of flowers, we would like you to think about donating blood/stem cells (Canadian Blood Services) to help others continue living or donating to a charity of your choice.
