William G. Korver, age 81, Orange City, passed away suddenly May 4 at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.
William George Korver was born October 12 1897 in rural Alton, the son of George and Christina Mouw Korver.
On January 2, 1924 he married Anna Birdella de Cook at Orange City. They farmed south of Orange City for a few years before moving to town, where Bill was involved in the hatchery business, retiring in 1963.
Mr. Korver was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church of Orange City.
Survivors include the widow; nine children: Mrs. James (Charleen) Grove, of Casa Grande, Arizona; Ronald G. of Tokyo, Japan; Clayton P. of Dallas, Texas; Russel L. of Des Moines; Mrs. Milton (Rosa) Mackie, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota; Mrs. Frank (Burlea) Long, of Paulina; Lawrence G. "Bub" of Orange City; George W. of Marshall, Minnesota; and Dr. David J. of Orange City; 30 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and six brothers and sisters: John, of Orange City; Mrs. Peter (Minnie) Muilenburg and Mrs. Bernie (Martina) Muilenburg, both of Sibley; Mrs. Arie (Artha) Bomgaars of Le Mars; and Marion and James, both of Orange City.
Bill was preceeded in death by one brother, the Rev. Henry.
Funeral Services were held May 8 at Trinity Reformed Church. The Rev. Donald R. Lenderink officiated. Interment was at West Lawn Cemetery , Orange City under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City

Birdella Korver, 84, of Orange City died Friday, Oct. 11, at her residence in Orange City.
Services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14 in the Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. Donald R. Lenderink officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.
Mrs. Korver, the former Birdella De Cook, was born Jan. 17, 1901, at Orange City. She married William Korver Jan. 2 1924 at Orange City. They farmed south of Orange City for several years before moving into town. He died May 4, 1979 at Orange City.
Mrs. Korver was a charter member of Trinity Reformed Church where she formerly was active in the women's organizations.
Survivors include six sons, Ronald of Tokyo, Japan, Clayton of Dallas, Texas, Russel of Des Moines, Lawrence of Orange City, George of Marshall Minn., and Dr. David of McMinnville, Ore. two daughters, Mrs. Milton (Rosa) Mackie of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Mrs. Franke (Burlea) Long of Fairibault, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. Charles (Elsie) Gasseer of Lawton; two half brothers, Lawrence of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Bernard of Denver, Colo. one stepsister, Mrs. Peter (Henrietta) van Es of San José, Calif.; 31 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
