He received a degree in Broadcasting from Moody Radio School of Communications in Chicago, Ill. Ken was active in church ministry his whole life. He served several churches as Pastor as well as Choir Director, Elder, and Youth Director. In most recent years, Ken has been a Bible Study teacher to many in the subject of prophesy. Ken was a member and Elder of New Covenant Community Church, Green Bay, Wis.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, LaVerne; his daughter, Brenda (Phil) Ransom, Waukesha, Wis.; two sons, Brian (Kim) Hettinga, Lowell, Mich.; and Brent (Melissa) Hettinga, Green Bay, Wis.; seven grandchildren, Bethany (Karl) Bernhard, Jared (Megan) Hettinga, Katie Hettinga, Joshua Hettinga, Timothy Hettinga, Seth Hettinga and Ethan Hettinga.
