Anna Dikken Stomberg was born August 10, 1889 in Holland, and passed to her eternal rest May 24, 1969 at Rice Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was the daughter of John and Annette Dikken. Her father died when she was 6 years old. Then with her mother, sister Grace and brother Eddie, they journeyed to America and settled at Ackley, Iowa. Later the family moved to Renville, Minn. She was united in marriage to William Stomberg on Dec. 14, 1916. To this union three sons were born: Henry, John and Lester, all of rural Sacred Heart. They lived on various farms north of Sacred Heart and upon retiring from farming they made their home in Renville, moving there June 3, 1964.
She was a faithful and loving wife and mother. Always concerned for their well being. She loved her church and was always a faithful and willing worker in the Women's Association.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband William, sons Henry, John and Lester; four grandchildren, one brother, Eddie; and three half brothers: George, Simon, and Ben Abbas. Step sisters Gertie Decknatel and Step brother Aliet Abbas. Also an aunt in Omaha, Nebraska and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Her parents and sister Grace Ruter, three step sisters and one step brother preceded her in death.
