  Bello oder Bellon (katal: Be?ló, span: Belló; † nach 812) war ein Graf von Carcassonne und Stammvater der Adelssippe der Belloniden.
  
  Bello war von gotischer Herkunft und wurde von Karl dem Großen noch vor dem Jahr 800 als Graf in Carcassonne in der gotischen Mark (Septimanien) eingesetzt.[1] Er ist angeblich zwischen den Jahren 778 und 812 urkundlich belegt.[2]
  
  Ihm werden drei Söhne zugeschrieben:

  Graf Sunyer I. von Empúries; Nachkommen bis 1327

  Besonders in der älteren Literatur wurde Bello auch als Stammvater des Hauses Barcelona anerkannt, indem ihm mit dem Grafen Sunifred I. von Barcelona ein vierter Sohn zugeschrieben wurde. Dessen Nachkommen dauerten bis zum Jahr 1410 im Mannesstamm fort und stellten die hochmittelalterlichen Könige von Aragón. Diese Annahme wird allerdings zunehmend verworfen, basierend auf einer Urkunde aus dem Jahr 829 des fränkischen Königs und römischen Kaisers Ludwig dem Frommen, die an seinen fideli nostro Sunicfredo...Bosrello patro suo gerichtet war.[3] Der Adressat dieser Urkunde wird jüngst als identisch mit dem Grafen Sunifred I. von Barcelona angesehen, welcher damit ein Sohn des Grafen Borrell von Urgell gewesen war. Eine Verbindung Sunifreds mit Bello wird allenfalls durch seine Ehefrau Ermesinde in Betracht gezogen, indem diese als Tochter des Grafen von Carcassonne in Frage käme

  Oliba is de naam van een Frankisch adellijk geslacht. Voorvader trok met het leger van Pepijn de Korte naar Zuid-Frankrijk om de Saracenen te bestrijden; als dank voor bewezen diensten kreeg deze het burggraafschap van Carcassonne in leen, met de titel graaf. Naam van deze voorvader onbekend.

  Arsinda van Carcassonne (ong. 902 - na 967), getrouwd met Arnold I van Comminges-Couserans (ong. 898 - ong. 958).
  
  Hiermee startte de Dynastie van de Commingues-Couserans.
  
  Bellon de Carcassonne was via zijn dochter Ermengarda ook stamvader van het geslacht Urgell-Besalú, graven van Barcelona.

  Bello (c. 755 – 810) was Count of Carcassonne from 790 until his death. He was the founder of the Bellonid Dynasty of Carcassonne and Razès which reached its apex in Wilfred the Hairy, progenitor of the House of Barcelona.
  
  It is not known who Bello married, but several children have been suggested for him:

  The Bellonids (Catalan: Bel·lònides,[1] Spanish: Bellónidas, French: Bellonides[2]), sometimes called the Bellonid Dynasty, were the counts descendant of the Goth Belló who ruled in Carcassonne, Urgel, Cerdanya, Conflent, Barcelona, and numerous other Catalan and Septimanian counties and marches in the 9th century and whose most famous grandson was Wilfred the Hairy, who founded the dynasty of Barcelona, rulers of the County of Barcelona since 897[3] and, since 1164, also the Crown of Aragon until Martin the Humane, in 1410.
  
  One of the peculiarities of the family is that, in the early years of the 10th century, all the Eastern counties of the Spanish March, and the Occitan counties of Carcassonne and Razès were ruled by Belló's descendants. This would have favored the co-ruling of some territories, and a clan-like network of mutual support, although they would have also been exposed to the risk of endogamy.
