Thomaston is a village in eastern Great Neck in Nassau County, New York in the United States. The population was 2,617 at the 2010 census. The Village of Thomaston is in the Town of North Hempstead. It is on the Great Neck Peninsula on the North Shore of Long Island. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.4 square miles, all of it land.
