SUMMARY: The ordinance index has Eleanor bapt 9 Apr 1877 in St. George temple. This is incorrect. The Eleanor who was baptized on that date was from Ackenthwaite and is actually the dau of Edward Taylor and his first wife Jane Noble. Ackenthwaite is 20-30 miles from Pooley Barton. Also see exact text for baptism and endowment. The assistant Temple Records at the Jordan River was consulted concerning the discrepencies in dates that appear in the text of the 1918 Baptism and Endowment. The question asked of him was "is the 1918 baptism date valid even though it was crossed out on the endowment record" his reply was that the baptism date is valid.
