Elle est mariée avec Philip Lybbe Powys Lybbe.
NOTE: I beleive the separation to have been in 1863 or before. Thereasons are (a) that his first child Amy to Fanny Worth was bornin around 1865 and (b) he got the Royal Licence to change hisname in 1863, and he used the name of Lybbe for himself, Fannyand their three daughters. However RCLP-L writes in his testament that the separation ofhis grandparents did not occur until 1869. I just don't thinkhe, RCL P-L, got it right.
Ils se sont mariés le 11 juin 1844 à Tilehurst, Berks, elle avait 19 ans.

NOTE: St Mary's Wallingford Baptism Register:"1826 Jan 3 GREENWOOD Ann Phillis d. Thomas, gent & Ann.Market Place JB"On a memorial stone somewhere (dunno where! - TFP-L ProbablyHaywards Heath? Though her 1904 will, at the age of 79, has herliving at No 3 Fourth Avenue, Hove with a companion, Clara MSnell, and a servant, Annie Goodwin):"To the memory of Anne Phyllis widow of Philip Lybbe Powys-Lybbeof Hardwick House Oxon, eldest daughter of Thomas Greenwood (2ndson of Charles Greenwood of Rush Court, Wallingford by his wifeMary Ann Jacques) and Anne Elizabeth his wife, daughter ofRichard Sheen of Wittenham, Berks."Born 19 April 1825. Died 27 Feb 1912."According to Alexander Greenwood in his book, Ann Phillis (asshe was baptised) was adopted by her childless aunt and uncle,Phyllis Greenwood and William Stephens, when she was seven.(Did this presage the fostering of RCLP-L by her daughter JuliaElinor in c.1889?) This explains why she was married atTilehurst, Reading, from her adopted parents' home. (And doesit have anything to do with the payment for the English Martyrsin Tilehurst by her grandson? Doubt it, as this was a RCChurch.)In 1881 she was at 7 Lansdown Crescent, Walcot, Somerset withher daughter Julia and called herself Annie Powys. In RCLP-L's testament he says she was left £70,000 in consols byher adopted father, William Stephens. In his will it was£20,000...In 1901 she was living with her grandchild Edith M Hill at 3Fourth Avenue, Hove, East Sussex, aged 75 and born inWalkingford (sic), Berks and living on own means. Her household was the two of them plus a visitor and threeservants. But what was she doing in Hove in 1901, so close to herhusband's second family, even though they had moved to St James,London in 1901???________________________________________________________TFPL, May 2004: In the Times of 21st April 1857, there is thislaw report:COUURT OF CHANCERY, LINCOLN'S INN, APRIL 20[Before the LORD CHANCELLOR]STEPHENS v.
