Margaret Murray is the daughter of Sir Andrew Murray of Balvaird.[2]

She married William Moncreiffe, 10th of that Ilk, son of Sir John Moncreiffe, 9th of that Ilk and Beatrix Forman, in 1526.[1] From 1526, her married name became Moncreiffe.[1]
