50TH ANNIVERSARY: Wednesday, 6 Jun 1962 - Coshocton Tribune, pg 7 OBSERVE 50TH ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Fred Philabaum, 117 East Railroad st., West Lafayette, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Friday. Ethel Mae Loos, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin J. Loos, West Lafayette Route 1, and Fred Philabaum, son of Mr. and Mrs. David F. Philabaum of Fresno were married June 8, 1912, by Rev. I. D. Dillon, then pastor of the Methodist churchin Coshocton. The couple began housekeeping at Newcomerstown and later moved to West Lafayette, where they still reside. Mr. Philabaum has worked for the railroad, the Ohio Power Co., and was janitor of the Trinity Methodist church in West Lafayettefor a number of years. He is now retired. Mrs. Charles Roahrig, Newcomerstown Route 3, is a daughter and John F., Wilmer J. and Chester R. Philabaum, all of Coshocton are sons. There are 16 grandchildren. ..." <>

Ethel May Phillabaum, 76, 117 E. Railroad St., West Lafayette, died Saturday at 12:55 a.m. in Coshocton Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
The daughter of Franklin and Annis Osbun Loos, she was born Oct. 22, 1891 in Oxford Township. She was married to Fred J. Phillabaum, who survives, on June 8, 1912.
Also surviving are three sons, John F. and Wilmer J., both of Coshocton, and Chester R. of Coshocton Route 4; one brother, Russell Loos, West Lafayette Route 1; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Carnes, Guernsey Route 2, and Mrs. Cora Rehard, WestLafayette, Route 1, 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
One daughter, two sons, and one brother are deceased.
Services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. at OÙuNeill Funeral Home with Rev. Roy A. Hall officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield cemetery, West Lafayette.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until time of services on Tuesday.
