Funeral Services Held January 26 For Nelmer Matson
Funeral services for Nelmer Matson of Buffalo Center were held from the United Methodist Church, Saturday, January 26, with Winter Funeral Service in charge of arrangements. Officiating was Rev. Edward Tschetter, organist was Mrs. JackDeVries with Miss Dolores Donnelly as soloist. Pallbearers were Vern Husome, Edward Winter, Homer Ankeny, Jiim Bosnia, Warren Feldick and Dr. Jay Rush. Interment was in Graceland Cemetery.
Nelmer Leonaird Matson, son of Joseph and Anna Marie Karbo Matson, was bom March 11, 1895 at Rake and passed from this life January 24 alt the Buffalo Center Hospital. He had reached the age of 78 years, ten months and 13 days.
On September 7, 1926 he was united in marriage to Jessie Albers at Minneapolis, Minnesota. To this union one daughter, JoAnn Boelts 'of Des Moines, was bom.

Mr. Matson was a retired cairpeniter alt the time of his death. For many years, as a veteran of the armed forces, he held membership In Winmebago Post 21 of the American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4824, Buffalo Center.
Military rites for Mr. Matson were conducted by the Joint Honor Guard of the American Legion aind Veterans of Foreign Wars with the following veterans serving on the Honor Guard: Eddie Albers, Duane Boyken, Harvey Hassebroek, R_ol_inKiewiet, Clarence Milbrandt, Jim Murray, Pat Orthel, Fred Badmaker, Charles Schumann, Justice Sullivan, Burl Weaver, Larry Weaver and John R.
