MASON CITY -- Brent M. Greenan-Pannkuk, 22, of 134 Parkridge Dr., died Sunday (April 29, 2001) at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams Ave., Mason City, with the Rev. Dennis Cahill, Holy Family Catholic Church, the Rev. Kenneth Gehling, chaplain at Mercy Medical Center, and the Rev. Bill Keller, Missionary Alliance Church, Blairsburg, officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.
Brent was born with severe and profound disabilities. He had cerebral palsy and was unable to walk or talk and was also blind, and was God's special little angel. His laugh was precious and his life was a tribute to the power of prayer and love. He was a happy boy, with many friends. Once you met Brent, you were never the same.
Those left to cherish and celebrate Brent's memory are his mother, Mary Beth Greenan and step father, Mark Hansen, of Mason City; his father Stuart Pannkuk and his brother, Aaron Kelly of Webster City; his grandparents, Wes and Mary Greenan of Mason City, Marjorie Pannkuk of Webster City; his great-grandmother, Gert Pirkl of Mason City; his step-grandparents, Ray and Carol Hansen of Jackson, Minn.; his aunts and uncles, Michael and Dee Greenan of Mason City, Loren and Connie Pannkuk of Titonka, Nola and Steve Ryan of Urbandale, Brian and Denice Pannkuk of Las Vegas; many cousins and special friends, Sandy Kelly, Karen Usher and Sheri Lewis, and everyone at NCHS of Forest City.
Brent was preceded in death by his grandfather, Irvin Pannkuk; and great-grandparents, Frank Pirkl, Paul and Ragna Greenan.
