Il est marié avec Sarah Fenner.
Ils se sont mariés en l'an 1846, il avait 62 ans.
Former Widow Coons, retained custody of her daughter Sarah who apparently moved to Jackson Parish with her mother and Alexander Stringer.
There is much conflicting information about Alexander Stringer. I have
relie d heavily on the work of Dorothy Stringer Roberts to confirm,
corroborate, or disprove data received from other researchers, and to
fill in the many holes in my information. Her data is meticulously
researched, plausible, and well presented; she is to be commended for her
work.
Alexander moved from Edgeco mbe County, North Carolina to Georgia about
1800, with others of his family. Some had made the move earlier. In
1805 he was successful in the GA land lo ttery while living in Burke
County.
About 1816 Alexander took his family to Mississippi, which became a state
in 1817. Alexander appears on the 1818 tax roll for Lawrence County,
Mississippi, with others of his family, as owning 160 acres on White Sand
Creek... He had three slaves, and paid one white pol l tax.
For the last 12 years of his life Alexander was a Baptist preacher. He
died of typhoid at home in Jackson parish, LA.
