Elizabeth, wife of William Marny, knight, is aged 21 years and more; Philippa, wife of Robert Passele, 18 years and more; Alice, wife of Guy St. Aubyn, 14 years and more; and Joan 7 years and more."am Sergeaux, clerk, and John Dreyn, chaplain. They conveyed them to Richard and Philippa his wife, and the heirs of their bodies, with remainder to the right heirs of Richard. They had issue Richard, Elizabeth, Philippa, Alice and Joan"e and fealty due from William Marny, ‘chivaler,’ by reason of his having issue by Elizabeth his wife, one of the sisters and heirs of Richard the son of Richard Sergeaux, ‘chivaler,’ and Philippa his wife, and ONE OF THE DAUGHTERS AND HEIRS OF THE SAID PHILIPPA, for Elizabeth's pourparty..."tween them:e Bodrugan knight, that he had issue by Margaret his wife William Bodrugan and Otho Bodrugan, that after his death William was thereof seised by virtue of the entail, and gave the same to Richard Sergeaux and Elizabeth his wife and to the heirs of their bodies, THAT ELIZABETH DIED WITHOUT ISSUE BY HIM, and Richard remained in possession as tenant for life in tail after the possibility of issue ceased.king Elizabeth the sole heir to the Bodrugan estates. The fact that none of the IPM's make any mention of this, and that nowhere else is such a claim made, is proof on its own that Elizabeth is not the daughter of Elizabeth Bodrugan. The fact that the Bodrugan manors (apart from Tremodret and Trevillin, which were specifically gifted to Richard and Phillippa by Oto Bodrugan) returned to the heirs of Otto Bodrugan after the death of Richard Sergeaux, instead of going to Elizabeth, is further proof that she is not the daughter of Elizabeth Bodrugan.ugan in 1419 which deals with the entailed manors of Tremodrett, Trevillian and Trefreock which were originally granted to Oto Bodrugan and his wife Margaret and the heirs male of the bodies of the said Oto and Margaret with remainders to the male heirs of Oto, the to the right heirs of Oto. In accordance with the entail, the manors passed on the death of Oto to his eldest surviving son William the father of Elizabeth Bodrugan. When William died without male issue the manors passed to his brother Oto. Under the terms of the entail, when Oto died without male heirs the manors should have passed to the right heirs of Oto senior. If William the father of Elizabeth Bodrugan had any heirs by his daughter they would have taken precedence over the heirs of Oto junior, as William was the older son. The fact that Joan the daughter of Oto was found to be the next heir, is further proof that Elizabeth the daughter of William Bodrugan had no living issue. History of Parliament asserts that Richard had one daughter by his first wife but provides no evidence in support of the assertion. It then goes on to say that he had 4 daughters by his second wife, again without citing any evidence, which could just as well be taken as proof that Elizabeth was one of the four daughters of the second marriage. This source proves absolutely nothing about the parentage of Elizabeth, nor is it in any way concerned with such. While Richard and Elizabeth may or may not have had a daughter, the matter is of little consequence since she did not live to inherit.
