PA page 82 --Ransom appears, 8 yr male in the household of Harriet and Jacob Barr. 1870 US Census, Town of Yellow Medicine, Redwood Co, MN page 49, - Ransom, age 19 male/laborer, in the household of Jacob and Harriet. 1873 Ransom and Rosetta were married by the Justice of the Peace, 31 Dec 1873 in Blue Earth Co., Mankato, MN. Witnesses to the marriage were Walter Cottrell and Olen Cottrell. 1880 US Census, Town of Wood lake, Yellow Medicine Co, MN page 53, -Ransom, age 28, with wife Rosetta age 26 and child Henry Ransom, son, in the household next door to Jacob and Harriet Barr. 1888 - 18 Aug 1888 Book 1 page 227 deed record, Taney Co Missouri, Ransom Barr purchased from George W. Friend and wife Mannsba Friend for $400, eighty (80) acres in sec.14 Twp.24 range 22 -- and book 1 pg 229, Ransom purchased from Isaac and Amanda Lewis for $5, two acres on West Branch Creek between sections 14 & 15. 1891, Ransom was living in Jasper Township, Taney Co. Missouri. 1920 US Census, Blue Earth Co., MN. - Ransom Listed with wife Rosetta, and child. 1926 - Ransom's obituary states that he was 73 years old at death and a well known St. Peter resident who came to Mankato in 1872 and married Rosetta in 1873.
