(balistarius). Han synes å ha fått et stort lensgods av hertug Hugo for en tjeneste han gjorde
hertug Richard da Osmond under en kongelig jaktutflukt bortførte den unge hertug i 944 eller
955. Om dette var Bellème eller et annet gods er uvisst. En forfatter mener at Yves hadde
Bellème allerede i 940-45.
I 968 underskriver han et dokument sammen med Osmond som antagelig var
hovmester hos hertug Richard I av Normandie. Det er mulig av Yves ved den tid fikk Bellème
for tjenester i forbindelse med hertugens unnvikelse.
Som hans hustru nevnes en viss Aubour.
At hans hus hadde eiendommer i Vermandois (muligens i Vexin) og i Maine, fremgår av
et dokument fra 981 undertegnet av hans sønn og svigerdatter hvor sønnen kaller seg vasall til
Hugo av Frankrike. Da Yves ikke underskriver dette, må han ha vært død.

The area known as "Carbon" or, I believe, Turton names Corbonais later became known as "Montagne" or Mortagne. Mortagne-au-Perche is within spitting distance of both Alencon and Belleme, both of which became seats of power for this family. There was a separate family (also having a Fulk) who were counts of Carbon and Mortagne. I don't believe that they were related.

Depoin suggests that Eremburgis married Raoul [III] Vicomte du Maine (see the document MAINE & VENDÔME)[9]. This suggestion appears to be pure speculation.
