Ralph passed away at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living under care of Hands of Hope Hospice. He grew up in Oak City and graduated from high school in Delta, where he participated in track and field, baseball, basketball, and choir. He served a two-year mission in Canada, served in the Army in Korea, then attended Brigham Young University for one year. On June 4, 1954, he married Kaye Jensen in the Manti LDS Temple. After having four children (Randy, Debra, Bonnie, and Michael), Ralph and Kaye were divorced. Ralph made his home in Idaho Falls where he was self-employed as a professional driver. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved to sing and dance. He was very athletic, with baseball being his favorite sport. He was good at sewing, teaching women to quilt on his mission and making handmade balls. He was a humanitarian missionary and his handmade balls can be found in every country in the world. Survivors included: children Randy (Kim) Lovell of Santaquin, UT, Debra (Michael) Motteshard of Rigby, Bonnie Lovell of Idaho Falls, and Michael (Heidi) Lovell of Idaho Falls; brothers Elwood (Alice) Lovell of Spanish Fork, UT, and Ferrin (Donna) Lovell of Brigham City; and 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Preceding were brothers Leoyd and Monan Lovell. Funeral Services held September 3rd at Wood Funeral Home East at 963 S. Ammon Road in Idaho Falls.Source 1
