Wore Pink Angel-Skin
On Tuesday St. Andrew's Church
at Perth was very prettily decorated
for the wedding of Doris Lillian, se
cond daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George
Dennis, Clarence-street, Perth, and
James Peter, eldest son of Mr. and
Mrs. M. J. Jacobs, of "Baythorne,"
Deddington. The ceremony was per
formed at 7 p.m. by the Rev. T. J.
Gibson, of Longford.
The bride, who was escorted by
her father, wore a becoming frock of
palest pink delustred crinkle angel
skin, made on close-fitting lines. The
gored skirt was fitted to the knees
and hung in a very full flare, and the
high neck line was finished with a
band of silver diamente. She carried
a beautiful shower bouquet of Easter
lilies, chrysanthemums, pink carna
tions, and fern, with trails of lilies
falling to the hem of her skirt and
tied with satin ribbons. The beauti
ful veil, lent by Mrs. George Record,
of Launceston, was worn capette
fashion, with a chaplet of orange
blossom.
:Miss Nellie Rice, of Launceston,
bridegroom's cousin, was bridesmaid,
and chose an ankle-length frock of
bright pink taffeta, cut on slender
lines, with a circular yoke of ruffles
forming a panel down the centre back.
The sash was caught in place with a
silver diamento buckle. Pink and sil
ver garlands bound her hair, and she
wore long pink lace mittens and silver
shoes. She carried a loose posy of pink
cactus dahlias and blue delihiniums,
set in a tulle holder.
The hymn, "The voice that breathed
o'er Eden," was sung by the congre
gation as the bridal party entered the
church, and at the close of the ser
vice the Wedding March was played
by Miss Enid Stewart, of Launceston.
After the ceremony the bride's par
ents entertained about 50 guests at
wedding breakfast in the parish hall,
Perth. The tables were beautifully
decorated in pink and white stream
ers, Easter daisies, and cosmos. The
three-tier bridal cake was decorated
In white and silver. The bride's
mother was frocked in an ensemble
of navy and white figured uncrush.
able crepe, with hat to match, and
carried a posy of deep red carna
tions.
Mrs. Jacobs, bridegroom's mother,
chose for her frock blue marocaln,
over which she wore a navy tailored
coat, with navy velour hat. Her posy
consisted of autumn tonings.
The bride travelled in a brown
tailored costume, with hat, shoes, and
bag to match. The honeymoon will be
spent in a motoring tour of the North
West Coast Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs in
