Don,
Thank you very much for your reply! I apologize for taking so long to
respond to your email, but with the holidays approaching, I'm a little
short
on time right now. I did a real quick look in my records, and I don't
believe I have anything on Mary Farmer, but I do have a few members of
the
Farmer family listed in Asahel Adams Justin Bible. And I would be
more
than happy to share whatever I have.
I have been fortunate to find quite a bit of information in Buffalo,
where several members of the Justin family lived -- including the tombstones
for several Justin ancestors, and a few Farmer relatives. I will also be
driving back to Buffalo sometime this winter to do some more research
-- I recently joined the Western NY Genealogical Society (Home-based in
Buffalo), and I'm anxious to explore some of their records. The Justin family
has been my primary focus, but I will look for "Farmers" as well when I go.
My husband and I will be away for a week visiting relatives, but after
the holidays I will send you a copy of the Family Record in the Asahel
Bible (which does list some Farmer relatives), plus some Group Sheets which
will show you what I have been able to document so far on Justins and
Farmers.
Again, thank you for your response, and I will be in touch.

He made iron rims for wagon and carriage wheels, and in the fall of 1843 he opened the 'A. A. Justin Wagon Shop' which he kept for the rest of his life. The 1880-81 Western New York Gazetteer and Business Directory states that the Wagon Shop was a manufacturer of Steam Engines, Machinery, Iron Roofing and Bridge Work, with Heavy Platform Spring & Grain Wagons a specialty.
