JEAN-BAPTISTE LEFEBVRE DIT SAINT-JEAN
This third Lefebvre pioneer to Canada was born February 17, 1647, in the parish of Saint-Germain d'Amiens, in Picardy. The child of the merchant Geoffroy Lefebvre and Jeanne Millet, he was found in New France in 1672. On January 14, 1676, in Montreal, he married a native of Montreal, Cunégonde Gervais, daughter of Jean Gervais and Anne Archambault . She is the granddaughter of the pioneer Jacques Archambault, ancestor of all the Archambault du Québec. At the census of 1681, he was assigned 25 arpents of land in Montreal and 4 horned cattle. The pioneer would also have done a lot of fur trade along the Ottawa River. Jean-Baptiste and Cunégonde will have 17 children, including 5 sons who will ensure the survival of the name (Geoffroy, Nicolas, Urbain, Charles and Jacques). He died in Montreal on April 27, 1715, at the age of 68 years. Cunégonde survived him until February 16, 1724. Unlike the previous pioneer, Claude Lefebvre dit Boulanger, many of whose descendants bear the nickname. Jean-Baptiste Lefebvre dit Saint-Jean is not an ancestor to current St. Jean's.

My translation to this would be:
Contrary to the preceding pioneer, Claude Lefebvre dit Boulanger, whom many descendants carry / have the surname (meaning Boulanger), Jean-Baptiste Lefebvre dit Saint-Jean isnt the ancestor of any Saint-Jean.
What this means is that many descendants of Claude Lefebvre dit Boulanger took on the name of Boulanger as their surname (meaning they dropped the name Lefebvre), and that Jean-Baptiste Lefebvre dit Saint-Jean isnt the ancestor of any Saint-Jean.
The name of Saint Jean exists but does not go back to to Jean-Baptiste Lefebvre dit Saint-Jean as their ancestor. dit means said.
I hope this helps
