Leftno wife or children. Had three brothers and three sisters (you should geta copy of this!) Wiley may be the W. F. Wells above.Ansel Wells died intestate and Rachel Capehart was appointed Adm. 1853Mitchell Wells died intestate and Chesley Wells was appointed Adm. 1853Equity .... Chesley Wells vs. James Capehart & wife 1853 (probably has todo with the estate of Ansel Wells - might be very interesting to see thefull text of this).Ansel Wells died October 10, 1853. Brothers Chesley, Elbert, Mitchell.Sisters: Rachel Capehart, Berenia wife of Manly Youngblood, Parmellia wifeof Jacob B. Britt and second husband Jesse Limbecker, that Berenia Wellsthe wife of Manly Youngblood have two children as Oscar and EdgfieldYoungblood...Children of the deceased brother Elbert, to wit. Samuel Wells,Wiley Wells and Mary now wife of William Banks.NOTE: This gives you a clearer picture of the siblings of Chesley and otherhints that may help you to fill out this family. Speculation here basedon the above. Wiley, Chesley, Elbert, Mitchell and Ansel Wells werebrothers with sisters Rachel, Berenia and Parmellia. Also, the JohnWells who died in 1839 was probably another brother. The father was mostlikely either the William or John Wells who appear in the land records by1803. I would bet on it being John, but you will need to do more researchto figure this all out. Please keep us advised of what you find.A Note with this information dated 1973 says for copies of the aboverecords, write to: J. Milton Quarles, Judge of Probate, Edgefield, S. C.29824. If you want them, you probably would be well advised after 27 yearsto simply write to "Judge of Probate" etc.Wiley Wells age 20 b: SC is in Abbeville, SC in 1850 with his mother Sarah(apparently the wife of the above Elbert). They were living with Williamand Mary Anne Banks ( referenced in the document).Orin R. WellsWells Family Research AssociationP. O.
