Clayton J. "Clayt" Langenberg, 81, Green Bay resident died unexpectedly, Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009 at an area hospital. He was born Nov. 15, 1927 in the town of Preble to the late Carl and Catherine (Finnel) Vanden Langenberg. On May 7, 1949 he married Rosemary Kriescher at Holy Trinity Church, Pine Grove. Clayt was employed at Proctor and Gamble for 36 years, retiring in 1989. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, who always kept family and friends close to his heart. He was always willing to lend a hand to family, friends and neighbors – fondly known as the "mayor" of Zeise Street neighborhood, with his swing serving as his office. Clayt loved to fish, cheer for the Packers, and especially spend time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Rosemary; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary (Desiree), Brussels; Dale (Judy), DePere; Paul (Shannon), Appleton; seven grandchildren: Ben, Clay, Casey, Keagan, Delaney, Payton and Jaeden; two great-grandchildren, Macie and MaKenna. He is also survived by one brother and three sisters, Ethel (Louie) Monfils, Green Bay; Jerrie (George) Dorner, Sheboygan; Harland (Pat) Langenberg, Green Bay; and Dolly Vanden Heuvel, Green Bay; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Neville, Grafton; and one former daughter-in-law, Judy Langenberg, Green Bay. Besides his parents, Clayt was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Jerry Barry and Larry Vanden Heuvel. Friends may call at Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St. on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. Parish Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2040 Hillside Lane.
