Funeral services were held Monday, January 11, at the Trinity Reformed church, Orange City, for Mrs. John L. Mouw, 63, who died early Thursday morning in Phoenix, Ariz., while visiting her daughter's family, the Gary Lyftogts, there.
The Rev. Donald Lenderink officiated. Burial was in Westlawn cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home.
Mrs. Mouw, nee Florence De Haan, was born October 2, 1907 at Orange City, the daughter of A. Bert and Harmina Oolman De Haan. She attended Northwestern Academy and taught rural schools in Capel township. She married John L. Mouw March 1, 1927.
Survivors include the husband and two children, Beverly, Mrs. Gary Lyftogt of Phoenix, Ariz., and Lambert Mouw of Orange City; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. C.E. Balkema of Orance City and Mrs. Henry De Wolf of Tustin, Calif., and two brothers, Herman De Haan of Orange City and Vernon De Haan of Sioux Falls.
