MICHAEL R. JACOBS
NAKINA – Michael Ray Jacobs, 32, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002 in a motorcycle accident.
He was born Oct. 27, 1969 in Columbus County.
Final rites will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. at Nakina Pentecostal Holiness Church by Pastor Allen C. Pearson and the Rev. Roger Coffey. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Peacock Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by his parents: Joe and Shirley Jacobs of Nakina; three brothers: Sammy Jacobs and Greg Jacobs, both of Nakina, and Robbie Jacobs of Whiteville; a twin sister: Paula Jacobs Canady of Nakina; seven nephews: Little Joe Jacobs, David Jacobs, Zackery Jacobs, Kyle Canady, Tyler Canady, Little Rob Jacobs, and Gary Fowler; seven nieces: Ashley Jacobs, Missy Spivey, Amy Jacobs, Amanda Jacobs, Tiffany Kinlaw, Chasity Reaves, and Selena Spivey; and a special aunt: Odis Norris.
Serving as active pallbearers will be: Gregory Hawls, Larry McKeithan, Jimmy Senter, Wade Jacobs, Timmy Jacobs, and Johnny Ludlum. Honorary pallbearers will be: Mark Strickland, Mark Williams, Christopher Gore, Andy Ward, Pete Ward, Steve Teleky, and Little Steve Teleky.
