John, his wife, and two children (Mary and John), arrived in New Englandaboard one of the eleven ships of the Winthrop Fleet in 1630. They do notseem to have been aboard the same ship as Rev. George Phillips. SonMichael's name is not immediately apparent on this list.

[From unrecorded bond] On 13 July, 1714, "Samuel Kinsley" of TauntonNorth Purchase, "Eldest son of mr Samuel Kingley of sd North Purchase",as administrator, gave bond for £500, with John Phillips and BenjaminDrake, both of Taunton North Purchase, as sureties.
The witnesses were Thomas Fenton and John Cary.
From original warrant] On 6 March, 1721/2, "mr]Epharaim Randall mr JohnPhillips mr Benjamin Drake mr Thomas manley & mr Clementt Briggs" ...."All sufficient freeholders within the County of Bristoll or any three ofyou" were appointed "to make a Divission on ye Houseing and Lands of mrSamuell Kingsley of Taunton North Purchass Deceased Intestate and also ofhis Personall Estate .... amongst the Widdow and childreen and shuch asshall Legally represent them if any of them be Dead".
