He [Hugh Hastings] married, before 1 November 1376, Anne, 3rd daughter ofSir Edward LE DESPENSER, Lord of Glamorgan and Morgannwg [LORD LEDESPENSER], by Elizabeth, daughter and heir of Sir Bartholomew DEBURGHERSH, of Ewyas Lacy, co. Hereford, Stert and Colerne, Wilts, &c.[LORD BURGHERSH]. On 16 June 1386 he gave evidence in the Scrope andGrosvenor controversy, and soon afterwards, on 8 or 9 July, accompaniedthe Duke of Lancaster in his expedition to Spain, where he died 6November 1386. On 15 May 1387 the manors of Elsing, Weasenham, andMonewden, which he and his wife had held jointly at his death, werereleased to her. She married, as 2nd wife, Sir Thomas DE MORLEY, ofMorley, Norfolk, Marshal of Ireland [LORD MORLEY], who died 24 September1416, and was buried in the Church of the Austin Friars at Norwich.
