Thomas Bates Kittrell
August 21, 1927 - February 3, 2019
Thomas Bates Kittrell, age 91, of Webb City, Mo., passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019. He was born
August 21, 1927, in Arcadia, Fla., to Thomas and Elizabeth (Osbourne) Kittrell.
Thomas worked as an inspector for the Department of Defense. He served in the United States Army
during the Korean War. He was a life member of the VFW, American Legion, DAV, and the Korean War
Veterans Association. Thomas enjoyed fishing, hunting, football and working in his yard. He
graduated from Le Tourneau University, Longview, Texas, with a BS degree in Machine Science.
He married Patsy Wren on June 11, 1955. She survives.
He is also survived by his children, Glenn Kittrell (Leah), Pensacola, Fla., Linda Kittrell Rodgers, (Scott),
San Antonio, Texas, Donald Kittrell (Sandy), Carthage, Mo.; six grandchildren, Asia Sansalone (Joe),
Shelby Kittrell, Blake Rodgers (Becky), Colton Rodgers, Sawyer Kittrell, Haven Kittrell; two greatgrandchildren, Avelynn Sansalone, Jaxson Kittrell; and one sister, Laura Ann Norton. Thomas was
preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home, Webb City.
