RESIDENCE: On April 28, 1752, Thomas Adkins, Jesse Rolland, and Faith Rose were godparents of Fredrick Ezell in Albermarle Parish, SurryCounty, Virginia.

PROPERTY: On July 29, 1761 there was a grant to Jessie Roland for 250acres in Granville County, North Carolina on Parker's Branch in WilliamRobard's line, Patterson's line, and at Roland's own line.

PROPERTY: In October 1765, Thomas House sold land to Jesse Rowland of Butte County for 100 pounds, on the north side of Fountain Creek, at thehead of Jickens Creek on the Gum Branch. William Rowland was thewitness.

RESIDENCE: He is shown on a Butte County, North Carolina tax list in 1768.

PROPERTY: On January 28, 1769, Thomas House, Planter, of Butte County,North Carolina, gave to John Austin Finnie of Surry County, Virginia, 200pounds Virginia money for 590 acres, two tracts of land in Butte County,being: (1) 340 acres, a grant to Thomas Parker from whom William Rowlandbought it and conveyed part of it to his son, Jesse Rowland, sold toThomas House by William and Jesse Rowland; and (2) 250 acres bought fromJesse Rowland and William Rowland, an Earl Granville Grant to Jesse Rowland. The witnesses were Daniel Pegram and George Patterson. The transaction was proved by Daniel Pegram, Butte May Court 1769, BenMcCullough, C.C.

CENSUS: Jesse Rowland is listed in a 1771 census of Butte County with hisbrothers, William Rowland, Sr. and Jordan Rowland, and William's son,William Rowland, Jr.

RESIDENCE: He appears on a 1777 tax list for Franklin County, NorthCarolina, with Jesse Rowland, Jr. and Fredrick Rowland.
