I apologize for not getting back in touch with you. I have been corresponding with two out of state relatives on various cemeteries and have spent hours out looking for them.Now for your information: I have Jesse Uptegrove born in 1773 who married a Milly Eubanks on April 9, 1803 in Albemarle County, Va. This information was taken from a DAR application on Ruth Todd Martin, National #574175. I was trying to enter the DAR on a brother of Jesse who is my descendant, Isaac. I have listed as his siblings: Isaac, born 1762 and married to a Mary Moore and who eventually settled in Lincoln County, MO (my ancestor); Solomon who was born between 1764 and before 1788; George who was born betwee n1765 and 1770 and was married to an Elinor McGurry. Susannah who was born in 1767 and married Benjamin Melton on 12-21-1787; William who was born between 1765 and 1774 and who married (1) Agnes McCurry and (2) Nancy; Molly was born before 1770 and was married to Humphrey Wells on 12-14-1790; Hannah who was born ca 1775 and married Elisha Collins 06-17-1794; Elizabeth was born before 1781 and married Nathanial Porter Wallace on 12-22-1808; Saray was born ca. 1775!/76 and married James Van Zandt 03-10-1802. I have noted on this DAR application that "three of the sons of Edward and Sarah (Lewis) Uptegrove went with other members of the family to Rutherford County, North Carolina. Over the next 40 years one by one they dropped the "Upte" and took the name "Groves" (census records of Rutherford County 1810-1820-1830)."If you are interested in more of the descendants of Isaac (my ancestor) let me know and I can get some information together for you.
